APPLICATION NOTES:
Cleaning Method:
SafeKleen
can be utilised in a variety of different type of washing
systems as long as there is sufficient agitation. Some
of the most common methods of cleaning where SafeKleen
can be effectively used are as follows:
Spraywashing :
From both safety and performance points of
view SafeKleen is a significant improvement
over the caustic powders and solutions commonly used
in spray degreasing equipment. At a dilution of 1:30
with water, heated to 550C SafeKleen effectively
cleans preservative oils, light unpigmented drawing
compounds, milling oils and light mill scale from parts.
Because of SafeKleen's unique abilites,
spray nozzles stay clean from contaminate build up.
Depending upon the process requirements rinsing may
or may not be required.
Ultra-sonic Cleaning
: SafeKleen, in ratio of 1:20 with water
has proven to be perfect solution for Utrasonic cleaning
operations.
Dip Tank Cleaning :
SafeKleen at 1:20 Concentration with
water in tank heated to 500C replaces all
hazardous caustics, Acids and Solvents in mechanically
agitated (Air agitation not recommended) submersion
washing systems. Parts washed in SafeKleen
and thoroughly dried are protected from rust for approximately
7 to 15 days. These parts can then be coated or bonded
without any further treatment.
SafeKleen Cleaner/Degreaser can also
replace chlorinated hydrocarbons and other chemicals
in vapour degreasing tanks. The same vapour degreasing
tanks can be easily converted to SafeKleen
submersion system. Agitation is a necessity for effective
cleaning.
